Se trata de un ejercicio conceptual sencillo en el que cada uno, basado en una ciudad diferente, ha hecho 14 fotografías a partir de 14 palabras elegidas casi al azar. El “experimento” comprueba la repercusión de esta inversión del patrón creativo en el discurso de cada artista. Estáis todos invitados.

From September 22nd to October 13th, the Centro Cultural Provincial (C/ Ollerías 34, Málaga) is hosting the exhibition The three sides of the sphere, a photographic project on which I have worked with Francisco Javier López and Manuel Jiménez Mérida. This is a simple conceptual exercise in which each artist, living in a different city, took 14 photographs based on 14 randomly selected words. The “experiment” shows the impact of this inversion of the creative pattern in each artist’s visual speech. You are all invited.

Las imágenes reflejan los preparativos de las grandes hogueras que arden en los barrios de Belfast cada 11 de julio precediendo a las Orange Order Parades. Fotografía documental clásica en blanco y negro, un verdadero placer.

Exhibition: 11th Night Bonfires - From today until the 6th May the Espacio Oblicuo, in the Centro Cultural Provincial de la Diputación de Málaga (C/ Ollerías 34) will be exhibiting a series of photographs by Manuel Jiménez Mérida entitled 11th Night Bonfires. The images show the preparations for the huge bonfires that burn all over Belfast on the 11th July every year before the Orange Order Parades. Classic documentary photography in black and white, a true pleasure.
